HSS Awards 2022
We recently had the honour and privilege to be the Technical Supplier for the 7th Installment of the Humanities and Social Sciences Awards held on 31 March 2022. This event took place at the Javett Building, at the University of Pretoria.
Planning this event
The planning and designing phase of this event is always filled with excitement over the endless opportunities the audiovisual industry as well as the advancing innovative technology offers. Our incredible team put together a mind-blowing proposal, consequently creating a perfect picture of how the technical aspects of the event will be put together to create an unforgettable evening.
Gobo Light Display
We designed a gobo light reading “HSS Awards 2002. Book, creative collection and digital contributions” which was displayed against the wall of the Javett Building. The goal of this gobo light was not only to inform passersby of the event taking place but also inspire aspiring authors and artists.
Entrance to the Event
As guests arrived, they made their way along the ‘red carpet’ through a magnificent arch built out of LED screens. This marked the entrance to the event and into the Javett Building. Guests gathered throughout the gallery enjoying their welcome drinks before making their way to the main event room where the awards would take place.
The lighting in the main event room was spectacular and created an incredible atmosphere. The back-lighting on the stairs was not only symbolic to the opening sequence to the awards ceremony but also an unique technical aspect.
